Director of Photography

In my role as Director of Photography, I:

  • Independently managed and operated two cameras

  • Organized all post-production audiovisual files

  • Edited all video footage and mixed pre-recorded audio to match the video

  • Set up and took down all recording equipment on film days

  • Assisted with setting up lighting and sound equipment

  • Collaborated with the director on creative adjustments

Working on Ride the Cyclone taught me plenty about working on a team: I brainstormed creative shots with the director and choreographer, and I learned how to use Logic Pro X to record and edit audio files. While filming and editing Ride the Cyclone, I was working in a fast-paced environment that required me to stay alert and focused at all times. I stepped into a leadership role since I was the expert on all things video on this set. I learned the importance of taking charge and offering my input where it was necessary. Working on this project has built my confidence as a cinematographer working with different audiovisual equipment.
